This is the ultimate pass to Los Angeles – the easiest and most affordable way to explore the city of Los Angeles! The open-top buses provide recorded commentary throughout the tour.
There are four different routes you can hop on and off at for the duration of your ticket:
- The Red Route will take you around Hollywood, the infamous Sunset Strip, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Farmers' Market on the vintage double-decker bus. Buses depart every 20 to 40 minutes from Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
- The Blue Connector Shuttle Bus Route will take you up to Universal Studios, Universal City Walk and the Hollywood Bowl.
- The Purple Route will take you all over downtown Los Angeles on a single-decker open top bus. Here, you can hop off and see historic Olvera Street, Chinatown, the Convention Center and the amazing LA Live.
- The Yellow Route is the bus to take if you want to hit the beaches at Santa Monica. En route, you will pass through Brentwood, Bel Air, Century City and Westwood.

I would thoroughtly recommend the Hop on and Hope Off tours to everybody, it was brilliant, very relaxing and informative, and good fun. I also did the Hollywood Movie stars tour and that was AWESOME!!! Our guide Mick, from Newcastle, as fantastic, by far the best tour guide ever, worth every penny, and as a bonus we saw Lionel Richie...as well as his house,,,,,AMAZING!!! Thanks a million, will def do more next time I come

Definitely worth it if you only have a day to see LA. Didnt like the wait between transfers. Too long up to a half hour just sitting there baking in the sun. Buses were pretty old. Perhaps thats Hollywood nostalgia.

I think its a terrific way to see the area, much more convenient and much less stressful than trying to navigate through the LA area with the traffic, etc. Even though I live here and have been taking visitors around for years, I learned quite a bit that I didnt know. In the future, I am definitely going to recommend it to visitors. Also, I have taken these tours in other cities - Rome, Washington, DC and Seattle. Aside from Europe where there are separate earphones due to the variety of languages spoken, your loudspeaker/sound system was far superior to the other two US cities.

I had one day in LA and I found the hop on hop off tour beneficial to meet my requirements.
The hop on hop off gave me the flexibiliy to spend more time on my list of places i wanted to see.

The tour covered everything we could have asked for. Some of the buses need modernizing. LA is a hot town and by the end of the day after 4 buses, only 1 was actually comfortable riding. They were like sweat boxes. If youre connecting between the red and yellow lines, be prepared to wait. The timing needs to be better coordinated.
